Liberty Encounters is multi generational family history education business based in northern Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania. The chief operator is Aaron Bradford. As a child, Bradford learned that he is a direct descendant from Plymouth Governor William Bradford. After the first Governor of Plymouth Colony died, William Bradford was elected Governor and served in that position for over 30 one year terms. He also twice served as President of the United Colonies of New England.

However, Governor Bradford is widely considered America's first historian. He dedicated his book Of Plimoth Plantation to a "singular regard to the simple truth in all things." Completed in 1651, the book chronicles the early history of a band of Christians who voyaged in 1620, "for the Glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith" to plant a colony in the northern parts of Virginia. The first settlers of Plymouth became known as the Pilgrims. In the 1820, a soaring oration by Daniel Webster at Plymouth Rock gave a greater national appreciation for the example set in embodying the American ideals of faith, freedom, and virtue. Such a strong personal connection had a profound effect upon Aaron and his father David!

Review from Dr. William Potter, Historian, Landmark Events
"Living History" reenactors bring the past to life for children and adults. Very few have the versatility, historical knowledge, and professionalism to present interpretations of different eras. Aaron Bradford is just such an interpreter, however, whether bringing a Civil War soldier to life or joining with his father David in recreating the 17th century Plymouth Pilgrims with proper vocal accents. The verisimilitude of direct descent from Governor William Bradford himself adds a poignancy unknown in any other living history presentation in America. In Aaron and David Bradford, the past isn't even past!

Reviews from Families and Homeschoolers
"We went on the Revolutionary War Savannah Walking Tour in downtown Savannah. It was wonderful! We enjoyed it so much. Aaron was kind, smart, and very engaging with the kids. The time flew because of how entertaining it was. The kids were never bored. I highly recommend giving it a go. You'll learn a lot and laugh a lot, too! Thank you for a great time, Aaron!"

"Engaging and fun! - Our Homeschool group of close to 30 people (adults and children) enjoyed our field trip today at the Whitemarsh Island Preserve. Aaron is a wealth of information and kept the children as well as the adults engaged. We thoroughly enjoyed our Liberty Encounter! We’re already planning our next one!"

"My daughter... is a tough one to impress and doesn't care about history with school and we haven't stopped talking about our field trip."

Teachers
"Aaron did a great job with my students. It is very hard to keep the attention of high school boys, and Aaron did it with ease. Seeing history come to life was an amazing experience for the students. An experience I don't think they will soon forget."

Girl Scout Leaders
"Aaron was absolutely brilliant! My girl scout troop enjoyed every second of our 90 minute tour. Highly recommend for all!"

"As you’re planning your trip to Savannah, I’d encourage you to book a history tour with Aaron Bradford. He was very reasonably priced and worth every penny. His presentation is very interactive. The girls learned about American history during the 1770's (and how it affected Savannah). We marched and sang around the city as we saw monuments and learned about important people and events of that time. Aaron was witty and had a great rapport with the girls. The tour lasted 90 minutes, and it held our sixth graders’ attention the whole time. This was truly one of my favorite things we did on our trip."

"Our Girl Scout troop recently had the privilege of embarking on a Revolutionary War tour led by the charismatic Sergeant Bradford, adorned in authentic soldier attire, accompanied by drums, and armed with a musket. It was an experience that left us all in awe and inspired a newfound appreciation for history. From the moment Sergeant Bradford greeted us with a resounding drum roll and the crack of his musket, we knew we were in for an adventure unlike any other. His passion for history was contagious, and his enthusiasm ignited our curiosity as we eagerly followed him through the streets of Savannah. Sergeant Bradford's storytelling skills were exceptional, as he skillfully wove together tales of bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism from the Revolutionary War era. His engaging anecdotes brought history to life in a way that captivated the attention of our Girl Scouts, sparking their imaginations and fostering a deeper understanding of the past. One of the tour's highlights was the interactive demonstrations led by Sergeant Bradford himself. From demonstrating the loading and firing of his musket to teaching us traditional military drills, each activity provided a hands-on experience that allowed us to step into the shoes of Revolutionary War soldiers. Moreover, Sergeant Bradford's commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our Girl Scouts was truly commendable. He took the time to answer their questions thoughtfully and encouraged their participation every step of the way, ensuring that each scout felt valued and engaged throughout the tour. In conclusion, the Revolutionary War tour led by Sergeant Bradford is an educational and memorable experience that I would highly recommend to any Girl Scout troop. His passion for history, coupled with his authentic attire, drums, and musket, creates an immersive journey through Savannah's revolutionary past that is sure to leave a lasting impression on scouts of all ages."

“Hello all,
I just wanted to share that Aaron delivered the most amazing lecture at Savannah Yacht Club last night!!! There were approximately 70-80 people in attendance who were on the edge of their seats during his entire presentation. Everyone attending learned many things they did not know about Savannah, the Battle here, and the War overall. He received a standing ovation, which is something to say being that the crowd was over a certain age and had enjoyed a few cocktails as well.
Dozens of attendees approached Aaron, myself, and the Club coordinators to give the highest praise of Aaron's gift as a public speaker, share how impressed they were by his depth of knowledge on the subject, and express how much they enjoyed attending this lecture.
At least a dozen individuals who have regularly attended this monthly lecture series since it began 3 or 4 years ago expressed that this was by far the BEST lecture they've attended... I just wanted to say that Aaron really hit one out of the park last night. I've seen his presentations hundreds of times, and every time I am thrilled to see what he does, but last night was over the top incredible!!! Well done sir!!! The crowd loved you!!!!"
